homeless cats

.
i can't sleep and my fingers are twitching.

interestingly i'm spending the weekend at a conference here in toronto called pilates on tour. i'm fucking stoked because i've just recovered from paying for it and that means that i can afford to buy a couple of toys when i'm there.

they're effectively half price due to the lack of tax and shipping.

so yeah.

things are perking up in the finance department a little AND i got a serious offer today. this client who has a finger in a lot of pies told me that when i'm ready to get my loft if i can't get financing he can get it for me or introduce me to some people etc. this is excellent because it's hard to get money when you're self employed.

i'm feeling kinda blessed.
.

these cats need a home. they're from toronto:

Slim & Shady:
.2 beautiful black cats need a home, brothers, 3 years old
.we've had them since 5 weeks.
.love to curl up together, super affectionate, snuggle up with you on your lap and always want lots of love! if you have your back to them, they will reach out their little fuzzy paws to get your attention. they love each other and don't want to be seperated.

.both are fixed
.They are healthy and happy, but need to be the only cats in a home
.We will leave you with a litter box, carry case and lots of food.

Please forward this message to anyone who may be interested or call us to find out more

*i* am not putting their number on the net. email me for it.

why would anyone chuck a pair of cats ? ahh probably moving to singapore or something.
.

that wasn't a dis, they have a quarantine there like the brits.
.

bleeding from your urethra sucks ass. fortunately the drugs work fast.
.

i had an interesting experience today.

i was in a car with a couple of friends and this guy drove around us slightly erratically and one of them dissed him and then the other did and then i said something positive about him. like they made up nasty stories about why he was driving erratically and i twisted it into a nice story.

and i got a little bit teased about it and informed that being negative was more fun.

but it's not.

right?
.

that's it you guys my eyes are closing so here's something out of the random file:

:)

don't forget i was illin in that pic :)

oh fuck 5 hours now... *sigh* dreaming of sleep

and othercat, hubris and i:

night!

lot of flicking off going on in Canada LOL

btw ... Vietnam's policy is even worse. A co-worker of mine moved there with her husband's new job, and they had to sign a letter saying they would EAT their cat!! You can't bring in pets, but you can bring in "livestock."

No, they didn't eat it ... but they kept it out of sight during any random checks.

dzer: those pics were taken a while apart you know :)

damm are you serious? remind me not to move to viet nam... damm. and i've heard that it's wonderful there.

wow... i might be afraid to move my cats there regardless.

kathi: i hope so too. i got that email from someone i don't even know but it seemed worth passing along :)

i love the pic of the three of us... it's so just what we're all like!

cas: EEEP!

I <3 kitty cats...ours passed away not long after our son was born, but he's getting to the age where I think he's ready to interact with one.

He's sees cats on tv and asks us for one, so I think that's a hint there...

Negative - it's not necessarily more fun. It's easier. It's like the dark side of the force. Or something less dorky. :)

Love the pic of you three!

oh man oh man oh man

I HAVE to find a way to go to seattle the weekend of august 19th.

MORE elders are going to be teaching there.

"dear mom and dad... for my birthday please send me to seattle, fine me a place to stay AND pay my tuition to pilates on tour and find me subs?"

*they look at me*

"okay i can swing the tuition..."

*sigh*
*dreams dreams dreams*

matt: then the question becomes "mature, placed, unlikely to be killed by a toddler cat" or "rambunctious can run away from the toddler kitten"

g'luck. i think your cat will find you although you may have to check the pound for it.

thanks, i do too!

those kitties are adorable.

so are you and the boys.

i agree with matt -- going negative IS the easier route. and i'm guilty of it myself.

have fun this weekend!

terry: i know, amazing how cute they are isn't it? and the cats too!

hey i'm not saying that i don't go negative... but i do try hard to find the positive...

i'm having a BLAST

alan herdman is... inspirational.

deb: heh. i have that problem too. i'd have five if i could afford it.. and if my apartment was bigger.

i bought 5 ultra fit circles or magic circles :)

*sniff* Oh. I'd like the kittys. But mouse would never forgive me.

Chronic cycling does absolutely nothing toward trying to be positive about any driver. Ooh! I bought a new helmet :)

have fun at the conference!

I'm thinking mature cat - he was really good with the three cats at our friends' house last weekend. No tail pulling and gentle petting.

We take him to the pound once a month or so to see cats and dogs, so that's definitely where the kitty will come from.

Didn't realize you were self-employed!

I work for a gym and get most of my training paid for...of course working for a gym has it's downsides too.

Toys! I love toys!
My new favs...my Bosu, my pilates ring and my new stability ball.

Bleeding from the urethra!
Holly hell my urethra contracted in sympathy!

that's rather funny. i was walking sofie at the local park and i heard meowing, and i walked over to where the water drain is from the sewage plant/water purification plant..and low and behild there's a 2 month old kitten sitting in all this mud and disgusting shit. took her to the vet, and i guess it's amazing he survived all the piping/water pressure/chemical treatment of the water on the way out. poor thing.

hope he finds a good home :(

hubris: they're cute hey? and can you imagine mouse and harriet if *i* brought them home?

i'm glad you bought a new helmet, as far as i understand it they sort of get useless over time?

i'm having a blast but my brain is stuffed and it isn't even day THREE yet!

matt: yeah i think that's a great plan. a kitten would likely be too much for him. hell my 1.5 year old is often too much for me.

oh nice... i think that's cool that you do that. and he asked for a cat over a dog huh?

i like him already.

puffin: actually that's exactly how i feel. all they ever do is look for the negative and the bad reasons and the bits that are scary.

seriously how is that going to help?

thank you, i try to but i don't always manage it :)

madame: yeah and i work for the worst boss. she sucks at invoicing and she never calls clients back in time and god her email. it's a shambles!

i think at this point that i can't work in a gym... my focus is so clearly on the rehab of people ... everything that i learn or am fascinated by somehow leads back to repair or correction or gentleness or whatever. i do enjoy my gym classes but they are slightly hard for me because they're large and there's this emphasis on 'working out' instead of body awareness.

and it's pilates fer chrissakes. it's supposed to be about body awareness and movement.

anyway, i expect i'll get my own place or end up at one of very few studios or physio/wellness centres.

i love all three of your new favourite toys... along with the roller, the theraband and the pilates machines.

dude my urethra contracts in sympathy and it's the one that was bleeding. my urine sample was RED. and i don't mean yellow with a red tinge i mean no yellow and all red. it was kinda freaky.

elle: oh man.

oh man.

how on earth did he get IN to the sewage treatment plant in the first place? i mean wow that's fucked up.

i hope so too, and thanks for rescuing him :)

Not certain you'll see this comment since its the next post down but i hope you do.

First, you have the biggest heart I've ever known could fit into a person.

Second, Im loving the pictures here... They rock, A LOT!

Third, you damn canadiens, I was wondering if maybe I could come and chill with you guys... I'd love to smoke and stretch and wax on things philisophical in the company of truly golden people.

But I'd have to sit on your lap...
*HUGS*

PS - Sorry I haven't been around lately... My life is sad, it needs a happy face. But our hearts and hands entertwine and empower each other. So because I found time to visit your home here and see you're smiling face... I feel better already :)

you were wondering? didn't you know that you have a STANDING INVITATION? well sitting if it's you that's sitting in my lap...

*hugs*

i have been wondering where you've been off to but i've been catching the rumblings that all is not well so i've been concerned for you but not stressed at missing you. hell you're not even commenting on your BLOG some days. shit has to be up.

i'm glad that i cheered you up some, if i did nothing else today i already accomplished something huge.

It seems you're definitely getting your moneys worth at the conference. It's always nice when you learn so much, your brain is on the verge of exploding. Conferences that make you want to sleep are much worse. I must cook you an upscale dinner sometime in trade for a private session. Thanx to all of the people who think I'm cute. I have always thought I was born ugly, but I guess I'm wrong.
