I've been doing nothing but posting Grendel pix myself, so I can identify with the whole love story angle. He's an adorable little fugger, but he's turning my life upside down!
Awwww. Axl...my siamese cat slept with me last night...all snuggled up and radiating warmth. But he has a different agenda in the morning when I am trying to get an extra minute of sleep... he is ready to go eat and play... ick
Chihuahua's rock! I accidently fell in love with a particularly slow and docile one named Rocket this summer. Huge congrats to othercat and company on the new addition to the family. I don't think it possible to convey my love for dogs in these few words, but in my opinion you have made an excellent investment to your own happiness.
Sass, watch out. Puppies are infectious. Being that close to one is a good way end up with a dog. He is a cute little guy though. Glad to see that he's staying warm.
but i have a dog and a cat already, and that's enough.
ps: if you establish a kind of order for the dog where the cats are above it..they all get along merrily. when i first got my cat i let them interact as they wanted to and saw fit, figured the cat could run away and jump if it needed to..thus, my cat found her place in the order was below the dog...and her safe haven was on top of the cabinets. they get along great now...granted for 6 months it was a lot of hissing on her part.
Everybody admires Sassinak. Grendel just likes her for her warmth, and her voluminous pockets. The rest of us can see bigger details than the 98.6 degrees.
it's more so with dogs than cats, because they are pack animals. i was my dogs pack, and then i added to it...so i had to let her establish in her mind that she was ahead of the kitty cat...figure the best way to do that was to just let her go at it, and only yell at her when she got too rough and lulu couldn't get away..
it's what we did at the humane society to socialize dogs and cats with each other so their more apt to get adopted *shrugs*

elle: no puppy for you! (said like the soup guy off seinfeld!)
i totally sympathise with wanting a puppy though... i would love it.
how do you consciously establish the order? like how do you tell the dog that it's ahead of the cat or the cat that it's ahead of the dog?
i sorta miss your finger profile pic elle!
